Back in the USA

So, its been almost a week since I have returned to good 'ol New York, and several since I last posted. Once things started to heat up at the world cup, I quickly got swept away with the insanity and completely neglected my poor little blog. I suppose it can be attributed to a multitude of factors such as working strange hours, working on tidying up my portfolio for the post Berlin job hunt and, um, drinking lots of Pilsner.

At any rate, I am very happy ro be back home (sort of) where my apartment is still under construction and I have the incredible luck of begin able to stay at Joel and Eliza's gorgeous apartment. Tracy seems to have relaxed a bit, she no longer has that look of desperation in her eye that she had the last time I saw her in the midst of a battle with our mentally handicapped coop board.

I am going to miss Berlin though, mostly all the folks I got to spend all my free time with. I realize that sounds like sarcasm, but unless you are an asshole, you are going to make friends with people when you spend enough time with them. The sad part is that in all likelyhood I won't see most of them ever again, so its a bitter sweet part(y)ing. Had I actually spent some tie trying to learn some german (beyond "ein pils, no wait, better make that zwei" I might be able to end this post with an adieu or arevaderci, but you will just have to settle with hasta la vista, babies.

As a side note, sorry to anyone who actually reads this blog for the lag in posting. Tracy was here for a week and frankly, I had better things to do than sit in my hotel room and write this stuff. :-)
